self pay
Some clients elect to utilize self-pay. They may prefer that their insurance company and/or employer not to have any access to their mental health information, or decide not to bother themselves with out-of-network logistics. And for those who are un-insured, self-pay options keep services accessible. ALL of our counselors accept self pay.

Crisis sessions
Sometimes a new client/family seeks out immediate services (first available or same-day appointments for pressing needs like school suspensions, self-harm concerns, etc.). These are considered crisis sessions and are billed at $200 as self-pay because insurance matters cannot be worked out in such a short timeframe. We can provide you with a “superbill” statement so that you can independently seek reimbursement from your insurance company. If ongoing sessions are desired after the crisis session(s), insurance coordination can then be arranged if desired.
DISCLAIMER: crisis sessions are NOT for evaluation of one’s immediate threat to self or others. If you have concerns about your own or your family member’s willingness to live or desire to harm others, contact authorities or proceed to the nearest inpatient facility or Emergency Room. Palm Point Behavioral Health is the nearest inpatient Mental Health facility in North Brevard.
