Angie Tuttle
Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern
serving Ages 5+
Hello!
I am a school counselor and Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern in Titusville, Florida, serving clients ages 5 and up in the areas of trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, behavior management and the development or enhancement of executive functioning skills. I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education from Florida State University, along with certifications in gifted education, a certification in English Speakers of Other Languages and a Master’s in School Counseling from the University of West Alabama. With over 32 years of experience in the school settings, I have a firm understanding of state and district policies, which enables me to effectively support both clients and caregivers.
My primary therapeutic approach involves cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), an evidence-based approach that empowers clients to manage stress, boost confidence, and enhance problem- solving skills. CBT not only fosters resilience and well-being in everyday life but can also pave the way for academic success. Clients receive personalized treatment that caters specifically to their unique needs, incorporating a diverse range of techniques such as therapeutic play and art activities. Through a collaborative approach, clients learn tools to help them thrive both personally and academically. Caregivers are strongly encouraged to be involved in the therapeutic process; therefore, they will be apprised of strategies utilized in sessions. Above all, my aim is to create a positive, therapeutic environment where children and adolescents find healthy ways to navigate life’s challenges. Let’s embark on a journey toward a brighter future—where every step leads to new possibilities!
